Thanksgiving Day Parades Throughout the Years

Did you know:  For years, Thanksgiving Day parades have been a staple in The Jim Henson Company holiday tradition!

In 1974, the Sesame Street Float was met with cheers on Thanksgiving Day as it passed onlookers early watching the parade. In 1977, Kermit took his first flight over New York inspiring awe as the parade commenced. Two years later, Miss Piggy was introduced to the roaring crowds as she made her own dazzling debut on the New York streets. Years later in 1984, The Fraggle Rock gang joined the ranks of the famous floats, singing merrily on the streets of New York.
