Dark Crystal Contest Winner Announced!
Three Youth Submissions receive Honorable Mentions!
Last year The Jim Henson Company reached out to fans of The Dark Crystal to enter the “Design a New Creature for The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance” online contest. People of all ages, from around the world, submitted designs for a new creature from Thra, with hopes to have it built by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop and possibly appear in the upcoming new series.
It was especially exciting to see a whole new generation of Dark Crystal fans enter the contest as hundreds of young people submitted ideas for characters of all shapes and sizes. Several favorites were selected by our judges, Toby Froud (also known as the kidnapped baby from Labyrinth) and his parents Wendy Froud and Brian Froud who were instrumental to conceptual designs of the original film.
