Fun-Filled Things to do on Spring Break!

It’s that time of year again! Things can get crazy around the house when the kids are out of school on spring break, so here’s a quick guide to some simple fun family adventures.

There are a lot of fun activities you can do as a family to spend time together, try something new, learn interesting facts about the world around us, and keep boredom at bay. With just a little bit of planning, you don’t have to spend a lot of money, and you can make the most of spring break some tried and true activities from your favorite Jim Henson characters.

Sid the Science Kid: The Super-Duper Exhibit!

February 3 – May 6, 2018
This exciting exhibit brings the award-winning PBS KIDS TV series Sid the Science Kid to life. For the first time ever, kids will be able to step into Sid’s world and become “science kids” themselves as they discover and investigate everyday science questions around Sid’s home, at school in the Super Fab Lab and on the playground. It’s sure to be a super-duper-ooper-schmooper good time!

Dinosaur Train: The Traveling Exhibit
The Magic House St. Louis Children’s Museum
March 3 -  May 13, 2018
Created by The Magic House in collaboration with The Jim Henson Company, Dinosaur Train: The Traveling Exhibit is based on the popular PBS KIDS TV series which features a curious Tyrannosaurus Rex named Buddy who travels through time to discover everything there is to know about dinosaurs. This new exhibit will transport kids back to the time of dinosaurs and encourage basic scientific learning through fun, hands-on activities.

Splash and Bubbles 4D Experience

The all-new touring Splash and Bubbles 4D Experience is currently at Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. The ocean-themed attraction is designed to encourage children to discover the natural wonders of the undersea world.

If you are heading to a museum, zoo or aquarium, we have lots of resources to add to your family’s visit.
